Transmedia Investigations
How could multiple and hybrid media experiences offer ways to contemplate on contemporary cultural concepts, knowledge and theories in a more engaged and critical manner ?
I am interested in the growth of human intellect and as our world is getting more complex we need different tools to understand and represent it so that we can engage with it in an enlightened way. How does multi-disciplinary perspectives of the world formally manifest as designed artefacts and media experiences? How could it become a useful method to unpack complex cultural phenomenology?
In order to initiate this exercise, I chose to investigate an area that has a unique concentration in the geographical place that I am situated in and is also relevant elsewhere. San Francisco is in the business of creating digital tools and I chose to investigate our relationship with technology as a starting point. The proposed process is to create a series of explorations and their subsequent convergences around simple physical tools and move to more complex and virtual technology.
