Multitudes; an array of media investigations
We require a multitude of perspectives to comprehend complex modern phenomena. We are currently facing the challenges and impact of living in an emerging digital technological system and formulating different ways to understand it. How might communication media practices create multiple perspectives on complex subjects ?
I am interested in devising generative strategies to investigate a subject through different lenses and media forms. These forms may intersect, diverge or complement each other to create expanded meanings or engaging experiences. They could live as a set of discrete artifacts or collapse into hybrid media objects or immersive experiences. I will attempt to illustrate and complicate conceptual relationships by exploring spatial and temporal dimensions of traditional and emerging media. The goal of the project is to inform multidisciplinary design methods and assess the merits of these formats to engage with complex subjects.
